Izzy Sanchez

Pro Spec Miata

S10 Pickup

Porsche 911 Turbo

A successful businessman with over 20 years of racing experience under his belt, Izzy Sanchez understands what it takes to win and what it takes to make a sponsorship program successful. He has not only built Diablo Automotive Group into an incredibly successful detail and automotive service business but has also been able to win national championships and beat lap records at many venues. He has also pioneered efforts into dynamic programs that not only combine winning in racing but also in helping 'at risk' kids in bettering their life. Sanchez is a highly energetic person that is able to motivate those around him. He is very well connected at the race track and is able to ensure the success of a racing team with the many people that are key to making that happen.

Over his 20+ years of racing, he has won titles such as the 1979 SSB Regional Championship, the 1983 SSGT National Championship and the 1984 SSGT Western Division Championship. Izzy and his brother Luis were a successful competitors in the Playboy Endurance Series (the predecessor to the Speedvision World Challenge) in 1985.

Having been covered in magazines such at Road & Track, Car & Driver and Autoweek, Sanchez has built the relationships that will get a racing team and their sponsors the exposure they need. He has experience working with successful sponsors including companies such as; NEC, Chevrolet, Nissan, Porsche, Goodyear, Champion, Red Line Oil and others.

"In order to succeed in professional motorsports, you must translate skilled drivers, high-tech machinery and sponsor support into a well oiled team effort. It is fantastic to teach the kids mechanical and social interaction skills and watch them develop during the season," commented Izzy. "Even though I'm not actively competing in 2001, I enjoy coaching JP and Jonathan and helping them succeed," Izzy continued.
