Luis Sanchez, a successful racer and businessman, is clearly able to execute a winning plan for racing. Whether it be behind the wheel or under the car making it right, Sanchez has consistently proven himself. He has worked with his brother Izzy both in running Diablo Automotive Group, their automotive service and detail business and in racing together on the track, embodying the concept of team racing. Luis possesses a keen sense of how to tune a race car to realize its fullest potential. Acting as the Crew Chief for the #78 Nissan 300ZX, he has led the continual improvement of the race car since its delivery. Sanchez is a talented driver with a long record of accomplishments, in a variety of car platforms. Among them are winning national championships in the Southwest Tour, Escort, & Corvette series and setting numerous lap records. He has successfully executed unique marketing programs for many sponsors over the 20 years he has been racing. Sanchez is as deeply committed to making a sponsor successful as he is to winning races. Luis calls his involvement, "a little bit of tweaking," but in reality it's nothing short of being a mechanical visionary. When Luis speaks, the crew listens. "We have made tremendous progress this season but to consistently stay on top requires a lot of hard work and a little bit of good luck," said Luis.
